Chief Executive Officer
Ron Marshall is a seasoned Chief Executive who has specialized in turning around troubled retail companies through cultural transformation, operation reengineering, financial restructuring and the development of innovative strategies. Most notably, Ron led the Nash Finch Company, a $5 billion food distribution and food retailing company, from 1998 until 2006. During this period he created a performance driven culture committed to superior execution, world class customer service and outstanding shareholder return. As a result, earnings quadrupled over a six year period, EBITDA improved over 40% during the same period and the Company achieved the thirteenth highest five year total shareholder return (46.2%) in the Fortune 500 (1999 – 2004).
In addition, Ron led the turnaround from the brink of bankruptcy of Borders Group Inc., the second largest bookseller in the US with over 500 retail stores and an e-commerce business totaling $2.6 billion in annual sales through financial restructuring, reengaging customers and instilling outstanding execution. He conceived and executed the Company’s device agnostic e-book strategy including negotiating the strategic alliance that created the third largest e-bookstore, Kobo. Ron was also the CEO of the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company.
Earlier in his career, Ron served in a series of positions of increasing responsibilities in companies including Pathmark Stores, Inc., Barnes & Noble Bookstores, Inc. and the Jack Eckerd Corporation. He has served as Director and Audit Committee Member on the Board of Directors of Claire’s Stores, Inc. and Linens & Things, Inc., and as an Executive Committee Member of the Wright State University Foundation.
Ron graduated with honors from Wright State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is married with two college-age daughters. He enjoys marathon running, skiing, flying (multi-engine, seaplane, and instrument ratings), scuba diving, and reading non-fiction. He is also a member of Angel Flight Network.

Per Brodin taps into his 20 years of financial, accounting and management experience with companies such as Centene Corp. and The May Department Stores Co. to drive Claire’s financial growth, global expansion and investor relations. Empowered to manage a top notch financial team in a global business environment, Per has enabled Claire’s position for continued success, future progress and performance.

Over 30 years in retailing with the greatest emphasis in jewelry and accessories. A driven leader, she has held senior management position with some of the U.S. leading retailers; Macy’s and May Company department stores. Her major strengths are strong product acumen and the ability to develop and mentor a strong dedicated team. Denise returns to Claire’s after a 3 year hiatus. She comes back with the same drive and passion to embrace the Claire’s and Icing customer
Melanie brings over 25 years of fashion retail experience and an absolute passion & understanding of the Claire's brand, customers & products. Her past experience includes high profile international retailers such as Top Shop & New Look, and spans marketing, PR, events, buying, merchandising, design and quality assurance.

With 20 years of buying experience in apparel, jewelry and accessories, Karen Booker joined the Claire's European team in 2004. Karen started her career working for the Arcadia group in the UK and prior to Claire's, spent 8 years driving key product initiatives, sales and profit for Walmart . Karen is highly creative and brings over 10 years of passion for the Claire's brand, alongside key insights into the ever changing customer demands.
Colleen Collins has demonstrated true dedication to building the Claire’s and Icing brands. She began her career with Claire’s over 25 years ago. Throughout her exceptional tenure with Claire’s Inc., she has held a variety of demanding positions and has a proven track record of continued growth and success. Colleen’s leadership and depth of knowledge have been instrumental in building the Store Operations group into an exceptional team. She has also ensured her team is poised to support Claire’s and Icing into the future as we continue our international expansion.
SVP, DIGITAL AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
David is an eCommerce, IT and multi-channel expert with over 20 years’ experience in multi-channel retailing. He has held senior leadership roles at some of Europe's leading companies including Shop Direct, Littlewoods, GUS Plc, JJB Sports and TJ Hughes. With an exceptional track record of leading high performing teams to achieve sustained profitable growth. His experience includes building successful teams across eCommerce, IT, contact centres, design & creative, development, programme management and strategy.

With nearly 20 years of buying and planning experience, Tim McClure joined Claire’s in January 2014, as Vice President, Divisional Merchandise Manager of Jewelry for Claire’s North America. Tim has held several leadership positions previously for May Department Stores, Macy’s and The Men’s Wearhouse. Tim has delivered sales and profit growth in key merchandising categories throughout his career such as jewelry, watches, accessories and footwear. Tim’s strong category expertise and his ability to develop talented executives, makes him a valuable member of Claire’s leadership team.
SVP, MANAGING DIRECTOR RSI INTERNATIONAL
A seasoned executive with over 25 years in fashion accessories and jewelry, Chona Ponce brings tremendous experience to the Claire’s team. Prior to joining Claire’s, Chona serviced many fashion and global retailers including The Gap, Esprit, Walmart and JCPenney. Her commitment to the Claire’s Global Sourcing team is evident with nearly two decades of continued service and year over year growth.
